Lake Mary Skatepark

On Wednesday I went to the my local skatepark in Lake Mary for a couple hours. I had a lot of fun showing off what casterboards can do to the skaters, and, as usual, everyone wanted to ride it. One kid dropped in first try on it. I got some good advice for my kickflip that gets me closer to landing (flick straight out in front of you, not behind or down), and landed a few more bigspins, rail grinds and ledge boardslides. The bowl is something else, too; 7 1/2 feet deep at the deep end and 5 1/2 feet everywhere else. It's a bit big to try out stalls for the first time though... I wish the park had smaller quarter pipes.

My next video is well underway; I'm still waiting for Christmas to (hopefully...) get a new HD camcorder and lens. I hope to get some really good clips once I get it. It's a Kodak Zi8 pocket HD camcorder, along with a $16 fisheye lens.

Bigspin

This is my latest trick I landed, bigspin. I can also fakie bigspin, but normal bigspins are a bit harder because you land switch.

East Coast Edit

Hey all you casterboarders out there, it's me Daniel Risler! You guys might know me from RipCity or Caster Addicts, but if you don't I'll introduce myself. I'm Daniel Risler, a 15 year old dedicated casterboarder, have been for the last 3 years, and hope to be one for years to come. I love the sport, young as it is, and am excited to see how far it has progressed already.

This is my first post to my new casterboarding blog, Casterboarder 4 Life. I hope to make this blog a helpful hangout for new and experienced riders alike. This is a young sport, and we need to keep together and help each other out as we progress.

This is my latest trick montage from about four months ago. Enjoy, and check back for more stuff in the future!

Go casterboarding, two wheels is better than four!
